There are currently 2 ways to get a Piedmont Library Card:
To request a temporary card
To get a temporary card number that will give you access to eBooks, eAudio books, and databases, go to our online catalog, and look for a button at the top right labeled “Sign up”. Complete the information in the pop-up box, and submit it.
This will trigger a notification to Library staff, who will verify the information entered, and approve the request. You’ll get an email advising of your library card number when the approval process has been completed.
You can sign up 24/7, and we’ll respond as soon as we can. This temporary card may also be used to reserve/request print books, audio book CD’s, and DVD’s. The first time that you visit the library in person we’ll transfer your membership to a permanent card.
To request a permanent card
To get a permanent card, visit the Library during operating hours, and complete a short library card application. We’ll issue your library card on the spot. Your permanent card will give you access to the electronic books mentioned above, as well as our entire collection of print books, audio books on CD, and DVD’s.
