Founder’s Day Art Contest
Founder’s Day Art Contest- Saturday, September 9, 2023
We invite young artists to compete in the annual Founder’s Day Art Contest. Pick up your paint brush or open your sketch book! This is your chance to show Piedmont your artistic talent.
Is there a theme?
No! The sky is the limit. We want to see your unique artistic style and skill.
Mediums Allowed:
- Paint
- Drawing Materials (pencil, charcoal, colored chalk, pastels, oils pastels, colored pencils, markers, etc)
- Collage Materials (cut and glued items including construction paper, tissue paper, wrapping paper, aluminum foil, etc)
- Any medium within the size restriction and is ready to hang will be accepted.
Age Categories:
- 4-6 Years
- 7-9 Years
- 10-12 Years
- 13-15 Years
- 16-18 Years
Judging:
Artwork will be judged on creativity Friday, September 8, 2023.
Top 3 winners from each age group will be awarded prizes.
Rules:
- Complete the entry form. (Find a digital version to download at the bottom of this page or visit the library for a printed copy.)
- The completed form MUST be printed and attached to the back of the art.
- Artwork must be ready to hang and no larger than 11″x14″.
- One entry per child.
- Drop-off artwork to the Piedmont Library during library hours between August 29th-September 8th.
- Entries may be picked up by 3pm at the Baptist Church on Founder’s Day. ALL entries must be claimed at the library after this day. Please claim your artwork by September 16th.
