The Piedmont Friends of the Library exists to promote library membership, to stimulate use of the library facilities, resources and services, and to encourage gifts for the benefit of the Library.
What does Friends of the Library do?
Friends of the Piedmont Library coordinates a variety of fund-raising events throughout the year to provide for continued support of the library. Piedmont Friends help cover expenses of book purchases and library programming, such as preschool story times, summer reading and other library events and activities. Piedmont Friends also hosts cultural events and activities for the members of the Piedmont community.
The Piedmont Friends support the two-month Summer Reading program, the Library’s largest event of the year. Last year, more than 400 children enrolled in the summer reading program, where they earned rewards for each hour of reading. More than 1,000 children participated in free weekly arts and crafts activities.
Can I make donations through Friends?
Piedmont Friends of the Library is a 501(c)3 organization and exists because of donations from the community and patrons of the Library. All donations are tax deductible through FEIN #73-1600840.
